d015, d016, d017

Drawings began yesterday and 'finished' today. Zeroes or circles first appeared in recent paintings. These are oil pastel, ink, color pens, with pencil for the first two drawings, 6x6 inches. Click on thumbnail for larger image.

helen to a tea, a slideshow

oil pastel mostly

Still continuing to make little drawings, numbering them as they were started... d001, d002 etc. Moved on to making square ones at 6x6 inches using more oil pastels. Blackfish is having a drawing show in January and images are needed by Sunday. It seems I'm able to focus when there is a show coming up and tend to not do anything when there's nothing on the horizon. It helps to have exhibits lined up.

Here are three drawings I did yesterday while a technician from India was troubleshooting my Norton Internet Security application on my desktop. He ended up uninstalling and reinstalling it.

I spend so much time in front of the computer so I thought why not bring over my little drawing pad, pastels & pens? I discovered too that pencil, if you press it hard enough,  will make a mark over oil pastel. Can't do that with the ink & color pens. These are d012, d013, & d014... 6x6 inches. 3 weekend drawings

Drawings made during the weekend. Because of the detail, I seem to spend more time on one of these little things than on the recent paintings. Figurative stuff are starting to show up. Perhaps it's time to move in that direction with the paintings. Ink & colored pens on paper, all 4x6 inches. Click on picture for larger image.

6 new drawings

I have been working on these drawings for the last two days using an extra-fine Japanese pen and colored pens on a 4x6 inch spiral notebook, with the aid of a magnifying glass and a reducer--the opposite of a magnifying glass. Click on thumbnail for larger image.

painting 017

New painting started today. Painting 017 because that is the part of the number of the jpeg file in the camera (P1030017.JPG). Starting new paintings is easy. Figuring out when they're done is more tricky. Oil on canvas, 14 x 11 inches. Click on picture for larger image.
