figurative to abstract

Oil on canvas 10 x 8 inches. Mostly oil on camvas, a bit of Sharpie marks toward bottom.
On the left is the after with oil impasto totally abstract and on the right before it got painted over. Figurative, much easier to latch on to. At least I have a picture of the piece before it became abstract. I can see why abstracts have a much smaller audience.
