Statement that goes with the piece in group show:

We’re all influenced by everything and by anyone we come in contact with, to some degree.
What influenced this painting?


1. Pressure: signed up to participate in show, had to make something.
2. Pattern and decoration, if it requires a label.
3. Placing the piano key on top of the little canvas: playfulness?
4. Markings with Sharpie: perhaps to satisfy a need to draw.
5. The Internet where I spend a lot of time. Surely it has an effect – good and bad.
6. Photography: have taken a picture everyday for over a year. This kind of painting can’t be experienced by taking pictures. So a desire to do something else.
7. This in turn will influence the next piece in some way.
